A climate-friendly crew of environmental fanatics offering self-sustaining and sustainable walkabout groups targeting campsites on waste management + tent desertion.
We work a little like a fun flashmob, creating energy in camps for clean ups, explain waste and eco-bond systems, encourage tent packing and award recycled wooden medals, stamps and marking tents with the festival logo to reward environmentally conscious behaviour (such as clean campsites).
Each event may vary, but on average we expect our wonderful Warriors to volunteer for a total of 21 hours between Thursday and Monday of each event.
An average shift is around 10am-4pm, so you have your evenings free to go have fun!
We ask that all volunteers arrive by the Wednesday of each event, no later than 8pm.
You have one full day off between Friday & Sunday.
Each shift includes a 1 hour lunch-break and 1 x 30 min break (to be taken at designated times).
Every Eco Warrior is needed for ‘the big push’ final shift on Monday morning helping people tidy up their campsite, pack tents and leave in a fabulously eco fashion.
- Free entry to the festival!
- One hot meal voucher for every shift
- A dedicated crew campsite
- Free hot showers!
- Toilets close to our campsite
- Phone charging* (limited hours)
- Love and treats!
Send us a 30 – 60 second video or passionate message to tell us why YOU will make an EPIC Eco Warrior!
If accepted, sign the volunteer agreement and pay your deposit within 7 days*. Otherwise you may lose your place in the team.
*deposit schemes vary, please check each festival details.
This varies per event.
For Isle of Wight 2021 (which we are currently recruiting for) if you are a new Volunteer, the deposit is only £50. We have negotiated this discounted rate due to the short notice for recruitment.
If you have Volunteered with us before – we are doing a trial run of not requiring deposits for trusted volunteers, however, all volunteers must sign an agreement with Isle of Wight festival that they will pay for the ticket if they do not turn up for their shifts.
Failure to turn up to your shifts after claiming your ticket may also result in us no longer accepting you as a volunteer in future.
You simply have to attend your shifts & do a fine job!
The greener the better! Up-cycled, decorated and dressed to impress in green as much as possible – think head-dresses, capes and giant daft-glasses! Why not pop along to the charity shop and bag a green bargain!?
Absolute worst case, anything green will do!
We ask that everyone aims to arrive by Wednesday at 18:00.
This is so that you can complete your accreditation, get your wrist band, (don’t forget your I.D) and get pitched up with us in the dedicated crew camping area, before it gets dark, ready for a crew briefing on Thursday morning!
If you can’t make it by 18:00, please let us know – crew accreditation will usually close at 8pm
